Save Your Money

Offering a reward might seem like a great way to get help—but it often brings the wrong kind of attention. 🚫

When money is involved, people can become overly eager—even reckless—in their attempts to “help.” This may lead to chasing or cornering your cat, which can terrify them and cause them to run further away. In many cases, it pushes your search back to square one.

❤️ Good News: Most People Just Want to Help

In my own community, people regularly go out of their way to reunite lost pets with their families—and I truly believe your community is just as compassionate.

This is a time to lean on kindness and goodwill. 💗

🎁 When a Reward Might Make Sense

If someone provides a clear, recent, and verifiable photo of your cat, it’s okay to offer a small thank-you. Just do so cautiously. ✅📸

Personally, I’ve stopped offering rewards altogether—and I haven’t noticed any drop in sightings or community engagement. People still help… simply because they care. 🐱✨
