Crazy cat people

I’d like to lead off by saying the purpose of the picture below was for us to look like crazy cat people. I think we did a pretty good job while our cats were less amused. Moses (orange/white) is still with us while Whitey has passed.

My name is Brad and this is my wife Lauren. Late 2013 we met on Twitter while she lived in Milwaukee and me in Cincinnati. We married within a year of meeting and I’ve been thankful for her ever since. Through our relationship, we have had 7 cats total but currently own 5 with a future limit of 3.

I had the two cats pictured above from my previous marriage and I made it clear to everyone I dated that they wouldn’t go anywhere. Lauren had no problem immediately falling in love with them. I loved Whitey but Moses was my soul pet and has been my motivating factor for every time I’ve helped a cat. I would have been lost without him and I’m fortunate to still have him.

Being fortunate enough to never have lost a cat, I am still drawn to help lost cats. In my previous work with a community cats group I learned a lot about outside cats and how to trap them. A lost cat post came across my feed which offered a $500 reward so I figured I would do it as a way to earn money for the organization. It took 3 weeks but eventually that cat came back and was caught on a camera the owners had added.

Since then I’ve learned there is a serious blind spot for helping people find their lost cats both locally and globally. I was inspired by a friend of mine who finds lost dogs with her time and wanted to do the same for cats. My hope is that this website will provide trusted information to people globally to return as many cats as home as possible.
