Ziggy Was Missing for 70 Days!

Ziggy is a beloved family cat who moved out with the daughter when she got her first apartment.

On March 19th, Ziggy managed to escape, sending the entire family into a panic. Given the limited hiding spots in the area and the high volume of traffic, we were concerned he may have accidentally hitched a ride in a vehicle. As a result, we expanded our search radius early on.

There were a few potential sightings, but none that could be confirmed. As time passed, hope was tested.

Then, on May 26th—over two months later—a woman found a stray cat about two miles from Ziggy’s original location. She kept him safe in her garage and posted online to see if anyone recognized him. Thankfully, someone did. They alerted Ziggy’s family, who rushed over and were overjoyed to confirm it was him.

Ziggy’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of persistence and adaptability in a search. Don’t lose hope—and don’t be afraid to cast a wider net when the situation calls for it. Never give up.
