Terra Was Missing for 6 Days!

Terra, an indoor/outdoor cat, went missing just before the July 4th fireworks began. Her family was heartbroken but immediately took action—canvassing their neighborhood and later distributing professionally printed flyers. Despite some technical hiccups, we were able to set up a camera near Terra’s usual entry point, along with food and water in case she returned.

At one point, there was a sighting that turned out to be a neighbor’s cat—but it was still encouraging, as it meant people were paying attention. I reminded Terra’s owner to stay hopeful. Terra is a bit skittish, and fireworks had been going off every night since the 4th, which likely kept her in hiding.

Then, on the morning of July 10th—six days later—Terra came home! She was tired, hungry, and very thirsty, but otherwise in good shape.

This is why it’s so important to keep searching and stay hopeful—but also to be prepared for your cat to return on their own. Never give up.
